Market Development Manager Central East m/w/d 100%

Target & Purpose of the position:

  • Drive growth in sales of Tools and General Purpose Equipment in the assigned region
  • Manage and expand distribution network with the regional Signode commercial organizations and through independent partners using multibrand/-channel approach
  • implement and follow through on sales strategy and budget
  • Cross department collaboration with APT Marketing, Product Management, Sales Support

What we’re looking for:

Education

  • Technical or Commercial base education with secondary Commercial/Technical education
  • Education and Experience in Sales / Marketing 

 

Experience 

  • direct and indirect sales experience with technical products in an industrial B2B market

 

Languages

  • German & English, further languages of assigned region

 

Interpersonal skills

  • flexible, willing to travel 30-50%
  • proactive approach to problem solving
  • able to communicate at all levels

Key responsibilities:

This will be a wide and varied role but these are some of the tasks you can expect:

  • Continuous development and implementation of sales strategy to hit annual and long-term sales growth targets.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to define key product attributes and customer applications that will help grow the business and position us for success.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and sales training for Signode Sales, distributors, and end customers
  • Achieve sales and margin objectives through proactive management of multi-channel and multi-brand networks.
  • Identify under-served markets or customers and develop engagement strategy; review installed base to reactivate customers
  • Research market needs, communicate findings, develop and implement plans with regional Signode Sales to meet customer needs.
  • Propose products and programs as new opportunities emerge from research and customer engagement.
  • Participate globally on projects to drive collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst the global Market Development teams
  • Report on key metrics to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
